At Hsinchu switch from the Sun Yatsen North Freeway to the Second North Freeway.
Off at the Longtan Interchange.
Follow brown tourist-attraction signs to Shihmen Dam for about 7 km to where Provincial Highway 4 meets Provincial 3yi.
At that point turn right, up the hill,
and proceed to the 10-km mark on the 3yi.
Left onto road leading up to Kunlun Herb Gardens.
