"Hoping for Hoping" is hosting
its annual Peace Festival at
Kunlun
Gardens, Longtan,
from the 1st to the 3rd of June 2007.
This year the event will be three days, and is undertaken by us working on
a completely volunteer basis. The weekend comprises of a wonderful
live-music line-up, local vendors selling a variety of wares, a selection
of local and international food, and a variety of workshops and live
events. Last year we raised close to
NT$75,000. In 2005 we raised
NT$90,000. Just think of what we can do with your sponsorship
pledge.

Estimated Visitors:
The organizers are
approximating that there will be between 800 and 1000 unique visitors at
the "Peace Fest" this year. There will also be about 50 volunteer workers
at the gathering. Vendors, band members, workshop facilitators and
organizers will also be part of the event. Last year's event attracted
around 500 visitors, but there has been widespread interest shown in this
year's event, and we are expecting an increase in the number of festival
goers.
